About the Film:

Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation Wakanda to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. When a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life. 

Program Schedule:

  • 4 p.m.         Check-in and Ticket Distribution Begins

  • 4:30 p.m.    Doors to the Theater Open

  • 5 p.m.         Black Panther Begins

  • 7:30 p.m.    Discussion Begins

  • 8:30 p.m.    Program Ends

Check-In:

Check-in and ticket distribution will take place behind the box office, outside the main entrance to the movie theater. Tickets will be held for all registrants until 4:30 p.m. At that time, we reserve the right to distribute uncollected tickets to those on the waiting list. We encourage you to give yourself plenty of time for parking and to walk to the theater.

ASU Students:

ASU students are required to bring and show their Sun Card at check-in.

Cosplay:

Cosplay is encouraged, but masks and weapons are not permitted by AMC. 

AZ Center Construction:

AZ Center is undergoing exterior renovation, therefore some walkways are restricted and paths rerouted. Greeters will be stationed throughout the paths to give directions and assist in getting you to the theater. Please give yourself plenty of time to get to the theater entrance for check-in.

Greeters will be stationed throughout the pathways to direct participants to the entrance. We encourage those with wheelchairs or difficulty walking to be dropped off on 3rd Street near the theater entrance. Please allow for additional time to get to the theater.**

Parking:

The Arizona Center has a parking garage located at 400 N. 5th Street #1765, on the east side of the complex, accessible through entrances on E.Fillmore Street and 4th Street.  Review the parking map, http://arizonacenter.com/parking-instructions/ for more information.  AMC does validate parking for this garage.

City of Phoenix metered parking is available on surrounding streets.

Public Transportation:

Arizona Center is accessible by public transportation including light rail and bus. For more information about public transportation options, visit the Valley Metro: http://www.valleymetro.org
