Far East Deep South is the acclaimed and award-winning revelatory documentary that follows
a close-knit Chinese American family's journey to the Mississippi Delta. In the deep South, the
family and its patriarch grapple with issues of loss, love and elusive family histories.  Directed
by Larissa Lam and produced by Baldwin Chiu, the film explores histories of immigration
and illuminates the power of storytelling and community memory.

Baldwin Chiu, one of the film's featured family members and producer of Far East Deep
South will join us for the community dialogue.
