"Who's the Fairest of Them All?": Hair, Skin Color, and Race in America

The forum will explore the ways in which hair texture and color, as well as skin tone, have helped shape the racial identities of millions of Americans, particularly women.  The conversation will be anchored by a distinguished panel of artists, activists, and intellectuals, with expertise in race, gender, and cultural identity.
